===== From grimmg@hotmail.com: it seems the man has his arm on...something. Did you think to put a rock or you wanted his arm on his leg ? ===== From uwezi@geocities.com: I must admit that I don't like the SciFi interpretation too much, but anyway.. ===== From scarmig@ohmss.com: The city seems repetative but the overall scene is very nice! Good job pulling together so many sources into one picture effectively. ===== From jabeck@bellsouth.net: Maybe slightly differing textures on the rocks add some variety. ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: Ok, get out the flame-thrower. I liked "damnyou" better, just because it is more faithful to the move. I like the work on the shore and water, and nice placement of the "13". The "13" placement is always a highlight of the competition for me. Simple things for simple people, I guess. ===== From archangel@wxs.nl: Damn, I think I'm in love.... I really like this one... But I like the girl the most of all ;-)) I looks real good, but I wonder: what happened to this guys knees? Man are they F*CKED up or what? hmm... ===== From tglover@nettally.com: Good composition! Nice water and other textures, except for the Statue of Liberty, which is made of copper sheets over an iron girder framework -- it'd be a nice greenish patina by this time. And I don't remember the 13 on the tablet in her left hand. Any time you include human figures, you're getting into risky territory. Your's come off looking much better than most, even down to the arm hairs. Posing of these figures is excellent -- often times an overlooked aspect. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: I especially like the buildings. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Not sure if you were trying to recreate the movie, or create some kind of "alternate reality" to the movie. The wet beach is quite well done. I like the rocks also. Textures are good, particularly on the statue, but the rocks are maybe too similar to each other. Don't like the composition: I would not have superimposed the women. ===== From clem@dhol.com: Of all the Apes-inspired images this round, you were the only one to overtly make the Ozymandias connection. Given the apparent primitive nature of the people and the disrepair of Liverty/Bedloe island, the seeming good condition of the distant skyline is incongruous. Is it reasonable that such large buildings could get so far askew without falling over? Very good texture on the statue. The human stances are lively and realistic, although Poser people in the foreground of a detailed image tend to detract from the realism. Good water-shore interface. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Brilliant as usual - so I'll nitpick instead of supplying more superfluous praise. :-) The statue looks more like green stone than corroded copper, and the shadows of the people seem a bit harsh and dark, except under the man's left leg. (Sand and water beautiful...) ===== From file: A very fine example of using landmarks w/ landmark films i like that idea. If there's all that fog however i would expect less visible light in the forground as well, or is fog just an "oh yes and some fog.." now a days?
