===== From uwezi@geocities.com: except for the copper ring round earth... ===== From archangel@wxs.nl: WOW! ===== From tglover@nettally.com: Striking layout - nice. Foreground rock is pretty good too. Moon srface texture ok but craters are too circular and edges of craters are too smooth. Also, moon's surface is very powdery -- this surface looks too polished. I like the lighting a lot ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Sorry, did'nt buy me. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Stylish. I like it a lot. You achieved the stark look you wanted. Good balance. Milky way seems too constrained to the center of the image. Orbital ring around Earth is ambiguous: too large to be man-made, too fat to be natural. ===== From mark.wagner17@gte.net: From a purely technical point of view, the slight illumination of the dark side of the lighthouse is wrong. However, from an artistic point of view, the illumination is a good idea. Nice job with the rocks. The Milky Way looks out-of-place, standing out from the background stars too much. ===== From clem@dhol.com: Interesting image. The Milky Way is good. To me, it suggests a "man in the moon" face. I like the orbital ring. A lighthouse isn't the form I would expect for such a monument, but it looks good. Where is the lander? The rocks and craters work well, but far enough in the future for the monument to be that worn, they would be worn away as well. Call it artistic license. The poor choice of aspect ratio and the unesthetic signature hurt the image. ===== From file: Notable for modelling, originality, lighting, composition
