This was the pinacle of man's achievements. A landmark discovery. But no man admired the bulb memorial as the island sank beneath the ocean forever. Rather sad. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The bird was created using Rhinocerous 1 evaluation version. A line was subdivide and revolved to create a cylinder of points; which were then manipulated to produce the basic body shape. The wing surfaces were then added, and some spheres, cylinders and a cone thrown in for the eyes, legs and beak. In Bryce 3d, an icy mountaneous bryce texture was used on the bird. This texture varies with "altitude" and produced a nice "acrtic tern" looking finish. The plants were created using the free Lsystem4 software which uses Lindenmayer systems (similar to fractal mathematics) to create recursive objects. Trial and error resulted in these equations: 6 - recursions 10 - angle step 10 - initial line thickness FF A A=FF+Fc''' %
