===== From cdsi26@bupers.navy.mil: Kind of a mixed bag of feelings here. Concept is high, Originality ??, and interp of theme is high. Scrapes of blood around the window would have helped. I like the farmland under the cloud layer. ===== From timk@jtse.com: Getting blown out an airplane window is indeed a horrifying thought. This image pulls off a cartoonish look without looking amateurish. ===== From ameede@madmac.com: Great variation of a theme. However, this guy who was sucked-out appears worried but not terrified, nor does the physical effects of going through such an ordeal show on the figure i.e., no blown hair or ripples on the skin, shouldn't his eyes be close to popping out? I do not know for sure. Nevertheless, you bracketed well forcing the viewer to look at only the figure. The pull down shade looks like a cut and paste thing. Perhaps you could have added to the force of the piece by adding some other items on their way out the window, or at least put a martini in the figures hand (shaken, not stirred). ameede@madmac.com ===== From mark_poole2000@yahoo.com: You have the texture and modeling of the airplane interior down perfect. There is something about the lighting that doesn't quite jibe. It should be brilliant; the shiny aluminum surface of the plane and the light of the cloud-tops makes everything look super-bright. Actually, this image is a little nagging fear I have when I fly. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: One does think such thoughts at 40,000 feet ===== From brendthess@home.com: Winseat/Horror Mk. 1. Isn't this far too good for a WinSeat image? Okay, back to bad design training for you! ===== From tina@ripco.com: *snort* Two. Two winseat images. Both nonstandard. This must be what happened right before the crash... I suspect I would not have been as amused if it weren't for the history behind winseat. ===== From ericf@foothill.net: Given my fear of flying, this image strikes a chord with me. The elements and the placment are good, and the look of resigned regret on the person is more chilling than a look of terror would be. Given that, the level of realism just isn't there for me in this image. It feels a little too cartoonish to take completly seriously. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Ack! I thought sure I'd have the only "Winseat" image in this round. :-) Good twist. But somehow he looks more "sad" than "alarmed". I'd be in panic mode, myself! It's artistically necessary, but it's puzzling why he's going out feet first. Good work overall. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: This has no textures, or none that are visible, and you can't see through clouds like that from a plane, you see white fluffy stuff or the ground. ===== From file: Well, this is not very horrific, but it does make me sick. The textures are terrible, the composition is wrong and the whole picture is sterile.
