===== From cdsi26@bupers.navy.mil: This hits pretty hard. Yes it is horrific that these things go on. Very good interpretation of theme. I am sad now. I feel the scene is just a little too light. Ive been in some of the restrooms in British rail stations. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Just a bit too horrific for my liking ===== From timk@jtse.com: The lighting could be alot better. Remember that the mirror over the sink, in a real bathroom, will reflect any light sources, producing multiple shadows. The contrast of the scene draws the eye to the sink, which is itself relatively bare of significance. ===== From ameede@madmac.com: To add a type of social commentary about such a delicate situation as abortion is an excellent variation of a theme with horror. I really like this type artistic approach to artmaking it shows that there is more to the concept of horror other than ghouls and gobblins, or throat slashings. Regarding the image as an collection of objects there is just enough there to understand what you are representing. The ambient lighting however looks like a camera with a flash attachment took the picture. The wall area just to the right of the mirror is so bright that it hinders the viewers attention from the center where all the action has taken place. ameede@madmac.com ===== From mark_poole2000@yahoo.com: Disturbing. But it does tell a story. ===== From grimmg@hotmail.com: BBEEEUUUUAHHHHH, Excellent Idea, But i think few of us will accept this !! ===== From jake@snafu.de: The glass in the back is super. ===== From dlauer@optonline.net: Pointlessly distasteful. If you want to present true life horrors, you should do so with a heightened sensitivity. ===== From soulmates@gci.net: Very controversial image (as I'm sure others will mention). However, it certainly fits within the theme and would certainly be viewed as a horrifying situation to anyone, regardless of their stand on the abortion issue. Technical advice... Reduce the harshness of the light on the right of the scene, and use radiosity. ===== From tina@ripco.com: A bit overly political, maybe, but definitely horror. ===== From rbenjam2@tampabay.rr.com: Very disturbing ===== From ericf@foothill.net: I rated this low on the artistic and concept areas because it felt like it didn't quite fit. It elicited a reaction from me, but more on an empathic level, of not wanting to see such evidence of injury to someone. Technically it feels very real. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Disturbing. Good modelling, particularly on the coat hangar and glass. The faucet spout seems to be too long (or not tall enough). ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: Great looking image, but for me the image has to tell me the story or it's no good, and this one didn't tell me the story, but it is well put together and a lot of attention has been paid to detail. You're one of the few in this round that's bothered to use textures and use them to good effect. ===== From file: This one gave left a suitably nasty taste in the mouth - I feel the bathroom could be darker and dirtier, but that's a question of preference rather than execution Notable for modelling, originality ===== From file: Everything about this scene is nicely done. I like the fact that it's more horrific because it's bright. Original take on horror Notable for originality, composition
