Great adjustment on a theme!  If I was an alien I would go see it.  This must have been a very difficult scene to light and color because you are employing two forms of general contrasts namely, light and dark.  The only thing I could suggest that would help me read the work better would be to add reflective light on the faces of the alien audience that is composed of the same colors as the fire ball engulfing the alien in the movie.  This would have added a symbolic relationship between the audience in your secene and the movie they are so attentively and fearfully watching.

This is a terrific idea, a wonderful twist on the concept of the horror 
movie. I like it. The colors are maybe a bit too intense in the foreground. 
If the aliens had had the whole Giger grey thing going I might have liked 
it better composition-wise.

This looks so 2D.  Aliens don't exist. The one good thing about this image
is the flames around that monster.
