===== From cdsi26@bupers.navy.mil: Very stark and cold. It is amazing how sanatary the place looks considering it's purpose. All native textures and colors is good. Overall good job. ===== From timk@jtse.com: Excellent lighting. Excellent use of color. Excellent use of a sparsely populated scene. ===== From ameede@madmac.com: The arrangement of elements in space is good, there is a good balance there. I would have like to see some change in texture between the ground and walls but hey I've never been there. I would have also like to see some type of human element within the scene, something that raises the question of why its there and what consequences it serves. For me, you have set the scene but you haven't put your interpretation within the scene other than a formalistic, and mimetic rendition. ameede@madmac.com ===== From patrickd@netins.net: The image looks a little "flat." Since you aren't reflecting the surrounding colors and light into the actual textures they don't pick up thier surroundings as much and in effect look "flatish" The image also doesn't make me think "horror" ===== From jake@snafu.de: good modelling, could use better lighting and textures ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: The horror is in the details, and the sanitizing effect of the 'ray-traced' signature. ===== From dlauer@optonline.net: Good idea. Excellant proportions. The flat surfaces, incomplete table, "floating green cube" distracted from overall effect though. ===== From dwallace@lynx.dac.neu.edu: Too simple ===== From tina@ripco.com: There is nothing in particular wrong with this (other than maybe the size of the room the well-done chamber sits in) that I can put my finger on, but something about the layout and some of the textures bugs me. Sorry, that's not very helpful, is it? ===== From rbenjam2@tampabay.rr.com: Everything is much too shiny and new. Some dents and scratches would have helped a lot. ===== From ericf@foothill.net: This image has a 'stiff' feeling to it. A little to sterile, too clean. Without the title I don't think I would have recognized it for what it is. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Quite a lot of realism in the gas chamber itself. The lack of human figures, however, takes a lot of the emotion (and horror) out of the scene. Good work on the lighting. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: Beautiful image. You could have hand coded all of that, no need for Rhino. It has a very cold inhuman sterile and chilling feel to it. I wouldn't go back in there just to see if I'd left my umbrella. The two things missing here are area_lights and a texture on the outside of the chamber itself. It needs a lot of area lights and that will slow the render time down and maybe increase your render time to about 10 hours or more but the benefits that this will bring you will be clear to see, give it a try. ===== From file: nicely clinical Notable for composition, lighting, modelling
