Good concept. Excelent technical execution--no pun intended.

But there should be more blood. It should be spattered on the keyboard and the
computer screen, as the developer uses his last ounce of strength to type
"Just can't take any more" on the computer. Okay, so maybe these are creative
decisions. But the image as stands lacks that sense of horror that it might
have. Though the concept and technique excel, the scene is just average.

The layout of the objects in the scene are well placed.  Everything looks so clean, it appears that the computer operator dusted and polished before committing suicide.  There needs to be some kind of reflected light within the small bookshelf next to the drawers of the desk. It was also difficult for me to distinguish the blade of the knife from the sheet of paper. I like the artwork, again your placement of objects helps the viewer read the artwork from left to right and from foreground to background to a circular motion that ends with the last object which is the knife and the note underneath the blade.  Also, the lighting you did apply suggests to me earlier morning hours.  So, the artwork for me was successful, I just don't see my desk like that even as I am sitting here in the dark at 4 am.

The knife and note and many of the little touches on the desk are nice.
Is that a javascript error on your screen? Reminds me of one (I get them
all the time at work, on my woefully unstable machine). The wood is a little
odd, and there's something a little strange about the keyboard, too.

I like this one, it reminds me of the whining I do as deadlines for this competition approach, and I am running out of energy to anything more.  The details are nice, the blood spattered cup, the books above and below, nice composition generally.

how many times i've considered doing this after getting one of those messages! good texturing, but if you'd given the blade a shiny metallic texture and not had the pencils standing straight up and down it would've looked more realistic. good job though!
