===== From cdsi26@bupers.navy.mil: Good monster. Best part is definately the skin. Bones degraded your score from me. Liked the render. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Are those white cylinders, bones? ===== From ameede@madmac.com: I would have like to see more of the figures face, and its left arm reaching out towards the viewer. This would have personalized the artwork for the observer. The use of color and lighting was applied in such a way that it balanced out the work as a whole. My attention moves from front to back continuosly looking for that extra thing I might have missed the first time around. ameede@madmac.com ===== From dwallace@lynx.dac.neu.edu: The beast's head needs more detail, otherwise very good. ===== From tina@ripco.com: Your demon (or whatever) is just a little too cartoony for my tastes. A couple of the bones look obscene, but that could just be me. :) The concept is decent. ===== From ericf@foothill.net: I like the concept, but the entity doesn't quite fit the feel of the rest of the scene. The rest of the image seems solid and real, but the figure seems a little cartoonish, deflating some of the effect. I would have like to see more implied than shown, but that's my bias. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Surprisingly effective. A better-than-average effort here. I like the tight color scheme, and the subtle details such as the slightly raised bricks around the pit. The image looks jagged in some areas. Was it rendered without anti-aliasing? A compositional flaw: the brightness of the pit and the camera look-at point leads the eye downwards, away from where it should be (the eyes of the beast). ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: Some nice work, some nice textures as well, but the wall could have been done in POV rather than using a paint package.
