===== From cdsi26@bupers.navy.mil: Locks are there to keep honest people honest. ===== From timk@jtse.com: Good model. But weak connection to horror. Inconsistent shadows. What is the setting? Day or evening? Clear or overcast? Summer or winter? The answers to these questions would increase the horribleness of the scene, and could be communicated through more effective lighting. If the scene appeared dark, cold, and wet, for example, the prospect of walking home would appear just a little more terrible. A bright summer day, on the other hand, might cause me to reflect on the maniacal laugh of the clown in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. ===== From ameede@madmac.com: I like a twist on a theme. I believe your image is more personal to the viewer than would be a scene of a bat, and ghouls. Finally you economized on the imagery, just enough to communicate your story to the viewer. ameede@madmac.com ===== From patrickd@netins.net: Really doesn't fit the theme ===== From tina@ripco.com: I really like the colors and textures in this picture, and the shot is at a great angle. In a humorous interpretation of horror, I suppose I buy it, but to me this is more 'outrage' or 'dismay'. ===== From ericf@foothill.net: Can't say anything agains this image, except it doesn't seem to fit the topic that well, but it's all subjective. Nice placements of eletments, has a pretty good feel of reality to it. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Not an especially strong "horror" theme (more like "outrage" or "disappointment"), but good careful modelling. Fine textures all over. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: Hey this looks good. Yes it is a real horror, and a good and understandable interpretation of the theme. Possible improvements: you could have used a slightly different camera angle and let us see the curb and the wheel and bumper of a car and maybe used focal blur and had the focus set on the broken bike lock. Check out Ron Parker's SuperPatch version of POV, the Trace function may do the thing with the grass, though I havn't investigated this myself.
