Excellent image.  This scene really tells a story.  I like the use of fog here.  The rubble could use some work, the background is better than the foreground.
One composition flaw: you should move the boy so that he is not directly in front of some trees.

This looks really good, you've captured the theme really well.  It seriously needs decent skin textures, that boy looks white and so does the hand that's coming out of the debris.  The broken down buildings are excelent, though some more broken glass and cracked windows would be good.
