===== From ekaiser@camden.tds.net: has a lot of potential. needs better textures. modelling is very good ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: Thought we might see more of these. You have put a lot of work into this image and it really fits the round But, It's too clean. Thats the problem with including some of the landscape in an image. The blocks re too perfect and need some erosion. I think you did a fantastic job on the columns. ===== From ddombrow@vt.edu: A well-composed scene, needs a lot more work on the texturing. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nice work... the details need some work like ... the textures of the ground and the harsh transitions between the ground and the moutains. ===== From mibmlr@hotmail.com: Mountains could use some help, along with the ground. But nice job. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: I like the actual history of this ancient building. The ground and mountain textures do not look right though. ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: I would've wanted to see this image in, say, 1600x1200, as the possible details really sink into the background at this resolution. Another option would've been to bring the camera a lot closer to the actual target object. I might've gone with the latter, as the grounds around the Acropolis are not particularly interesting. The architectural modelling is pretty nice and it should definitely be seen at a closer range. The mountains are a bit too smooth and the sky trick you used is clearly visible. This hits the technical score quite a bit. The fore- and background miscellaneous stuff needs more details, if it is to be shown this prominently. ===== From chris_darcy@yahoo.com: Compression has ruined, pardon the pun, the picture. Technical great. Mountains let it down too. Good effort. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Nice sky, and the building looks pretty good. I think the wall, walkway, and scattered objects are too smooth and uniform-looking though. Overall, a nice picture and a good effort. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Hard work! Only the colors in textures seem a bit "cold". Good modelling work. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Good modelling and a good job of destruction. The mountains need much more detail and probably more life. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: I thought the Acropolis was on the top of a hill in Athens. It would have been nice to see the city below, rather than mountains in the background... ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: Some good modelling, and always good to see a joint effort. But it's too clean and smoothe, even the mountains look asthough someone's been rounded with a piece of sand paper and smoothed them down ready to have their photo taken. A lot of work has gone into this image, it's a shame that it looks so CG. ===== From file: Notable for textures
