Interesting concept. But the nuclear winter would not leave many drops of water
behind it ... the world's surface would be so cold that you could expect strong
freezing temperatures even in the warmest parts of the planet on the warmest
day.

The first glance at the image didn't promise too much, but after 
reading the text file it made a bit more sense. The idea itself is
fine, but there's something about the implementation that makes the
image slightly messy. 

Totally one another thing is the color and brightness of water. 
Chemically polluted cities are IMO unlikely to be flooded with 
totally clear and nicely reflective water. Nice try, though;
the concept is a good one, too bad you stopped at the easy point
(as you stated yourself). And yet following your words: the 
background is cool, but too bad the foreground is always the most 
visible part in an image like this.

Nice colours and abstract sort of building shapes make this artistically
interesting. I'm not sure the abstraction carries off the concept of ruins
particularly well though.

Beautiful image, there are very few colours here, but it works well.  The 
atmosphere is good and adds a certain early morning flavour to the iamge.
It looks painted in many parts rather than raytraced, but this just adds
to the overall feeling.
