===== From ekaiser@camden.tds.net: very good ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: Someone once rated an image of mine and said that if you have to read the text file to find the topic than the mark was missed. This is a very technical image and quite impressive but I had to read the Text file to figure out where the ruins came in. ===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: It is customary to include the name of the renderer used to create the image, so that people can judge both how difficult the image was to create, and to be able to distinguish the differences in the strengths of different software packages. ===== From chris@bluelectrode.com: Hard to judge because you failed to mention the renderer you used. Better luck next time. ===== From ddombrow@vt.edu: Visually impressive and well lit. Good job. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Spectacular image! However, the image does not tell the story or portray the concept... ===== From mibmlr@hotmail.com: Nice Job! I realy don't see ruins, but really original. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: That looks like it's been taken out of a James Bond film (golden eye, maybe ?) ! You forgot to tell us what renderer and tools you used for this submission. ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Nice image, good use of lights and shadows. I would've wanted to know the software you used for creating this. It's just too bad that the image is way out of topic despite the explanations you've given. The floors are shiny, all lights are on etc. - doesn't really suit my grasp of a ruined place. Even when it's a hidden base in Nevada. ===== From chris_darcy@yahoo.com: Good Work. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: I love the lighting and the use of small spots of color, and the amount of detail is very impressive. (Kinda reminds me of a scene from Half-Life.) A very pretty picture overall. Again, though, it doesn't come across as abandonded or deserted to me at all, so I had to give it low marks for concept, which made its overall ranking lower than I had expected. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Good industrial modelling - very impressive. The lighting is effective and the textures nicely detailed, although I would like to see some more rust or dirt t convey the feeling of ruins more. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: You don't say what tools you used to create this image. It looks like a cross between a block of flats and a space station, not ruins of any kind. ===== From file: Notable for lighting
