===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: I understand your connection with the topic but am not sure if this qualifies as a ruin. I judged it as if it does. ===== From boork@gostnet.com: Chernobyl was actually the first thing I thought of when I heard the topic. (The second was the 'a-bomb dome' in hiroshima and third was apollo launch complex 34) -- looks really really good! ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nice concept..... ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Very good interpretation. I like the point of view, makes you feel small. I'm shared about the sky, looks half way there. ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Chernobyl was a good choice. Its horrors are not forgotten, not especially here in Europe. You've used a good touch of perspective to make the reactor loom dangerous-lookingly. Artistic points to you for that. What the image lacks is contrast. The dark shades work well, but I think it would've been still more dramatic if you would've just let the sky be a little less threatening. Now the overall darkness of the image takes the attention away from the building. Still, a very nice image, definitely a wallpaper candidate. Especially when looking at the lack of time you must've encountered in the final hours, my congratulations for an image well made. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: Excellent interpretation of theme, beautifully realized ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Pretty in a bleak sort of way and good camera placement. Doesn't really seem rusted enough to convey an air of abandonment or disuse, though. Still, an impressive piece of work. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Excellent texturing work. Good modelling too. Very nice composition: I liked the touch of the birds. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Dramatic and well chosen image. The liberty you took with the color was a good idea. The gray ambiance and the camera angle capture the appropriate feeling well. The oblivious birds wheeling through the sky are a good understated note of contrast. Like some others this round, you seem to have reached a new level. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: This is a great industrial image. The dirty and rusty textures are excellent, and the modelling shows great attention to detail. Good choice of camera angle, and moody colours and composition enhance the subject matter. I can't really suggest any improvement. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: Good modelling and textures but it just looks like any other industrial building in Western Europe. ===== From file: Notable for composition ===== From file: I particularly like the Birds in this scene. Very realistic looking. A dark but true scene.
