===== From ekaiser@camden.tds.net: cool concept ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: I was going along these same lines myself when i started. I ended up with the same problem...Too clean ===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: Very interesting idea. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: I like the idea of superimposing a tranparent version of how it should have been. ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: The ghosting was a good idea, yet I must say I was fairly confused when I looked at your image for the first time. Reading the text file helped, though. You could've spent a bit more effort to make the ground a bit more realistic. For some reason, the whole image, despite its good idea, is still a bit messy to my eye. Maybe the partial visibility of the original temple makes it harder to see the actual ruins. Good ideas and a decent implementation, anyway! ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: I like the concept of this picture, but I think it would have worked a lot better with more detailed objects and textures... overall, the effect is just kind of jarring to the eye. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Very, very good idea, but it still needs some tweaking to really show the intended effect. Perhaps if you shot the ghost part with a light turbulated ripple on the camera and made new and old contrast a bit more? ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: This is a great concept - but I would have liked to see more done with it. Figuring out some way to leave the flames in would have been a good touch. The modelling and textures could use more detailing attention and the background is a bit simple and bare. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: This ghosting effect looks interesting and should be explored further. The only problem with the ghosting is that it's only really understandable (to the eye) where it estends from the top of the collumns, the ghosting of the fountain and walls was totally lost on me. Good work.
