===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: I liked the concept. It just looks too clean... not enough dust or dirt thrown around. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: I can only say very good. Well, it may have made it nicer still if your building walls texture maps had been procedural and not repeated, but they look almost perfect as is. The gravel looks a tidbit too flat, along with the rail support logs, buut again that is a detail. ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Wow, what a sexy loco you've got there :-) But some ideas: It's brown and rusty now, but it could still look more abused. Sootmarks on the funnel, perhaps some drippings of liquids from the pipes etc. might help. The surface is a bit too smooth now. All in all, you've done a damn good job modelling the train and the immediate surroundings. There could be even more ruin in the picture, but it's very good already as it is. Congratulations! ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: There are a lot of good elements in this picture... the train, the walls, and the texturing on the drainpipe especially. The rusted parts could use a little more work, I think, to achieve more of a corroded effect. Still, very nice job overall. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Very nice subject, and hard work. Only the light seems too subtle, plain. Great pic anyhow! ===== From clem@dhol.org: Great background and overall messy ambiance. Very nice modelling on the loco. Lots of great details. I particularly like the drainpipe, the cracked window and the "keep out" board. The only real problem I see is that the texture on the loco is a bit too uniform. If the rust was a bit patchier and there were perhaps a few bits of paint clinging to the loco, this image would hit the next level. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: I think a more uneven, "blotchy" rust texture on the locomotive would help this image enormously. The modelling is very impressive though and the attention to detail good. Lighting seems just a touch flat, and the stone walls texture, although very nice, doesn't match the direction of the shadows cast by objects, so appears like an image-map on a flat surface rather than a true 3-D wall. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: This is a fantastic image, shame you didin't code the textures for the wall and train. This is so realistic.
