===== From ekaiser@camden.tds.net: pretty colors, needs radiosity ===== From jgrimbert@atos-group.com: there is a chain which does not look too much real ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: The broken walls look more like they were sliced. I do like the waterfall. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: I guess I don't appreciate the Piranesi style.... it just didn't do anything for me. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Interesting image. he draping waterfall looks pretty good at the top, but totaly unrealistic as you dive a bit ... it's supposed to split away in heavy rain at first and then a fine mist when the flow is little and the height great - OK, I'll admit I do not know how to do that myself. The walls look strangely cut, it does not look natural that way. Harder but better would be to follow the shape of the stones. ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: A good idea to model the ruins from inside. You've managed to do some nice textures, too. I especially like the green stone in the back right corner. The lights act a bit unnaturally near the walls. There shouldn't be that sharp differences in luminosity levels, I think. Well done anyway! ===== From chris_darcy@yahoo.com: Very hard to make sense of the image. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Good use of color and lighting, and a good scene overall. But the missing wall edges seem way too smooth, and I would have liked to have seen some sort of background behind the building. ===== From clem@dhol.org: A nice but generic castle image. I don't really see Piranesi here. I like the stairs and the foreground pillar, but the textures as a whole, especially the back wall show a curious inconsistency in level of detail. The pebbly arches with what looks like a crude matte painting of a wall above them and more detailed bricks on the other side of the pillar don't work well together. The hangings in the center should be omitted. They look like laundry. The shadows in the upper part of the image are too black for my taste. Hints of something should be visible in the shadow to avoid the irritating two dimensional effect. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Another image inspired by Piranesi! It's a little hard to see what is what in this image - the brown foreground objects seem detached from the green background objects - I don't know if this is intentional. The colours are a little rich for me, but the lighting is very effective, and the waterfall looks good. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: Good work. The textures look good and the lighting is well thought out. Great modelling.
