===== From jknepley@chisp.net: Notable for concept. ===== From loomsbury@yahoo.com: Where's the shoreline? The water doesn't look like water. Basically, textures all around need to be changed. ===== From pmccombs@hotmail.com: The city stops suddenly and goes to static... ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: Good Idea. The placement of the cars leads one to wonder why they are driving into and from the ocean. A couple of ships at the pier and some trail lines from Commercial jets would have been a nice touch. ===== From douge@ppe.com: Try looking on the net for models of vehicles... 3dcafe.com has a few decent ones. The city looks like it's merging with the water, and the road just drives right into it. ===== From Stickgod01@aol.com: I would have fewer cars, and tone down their colors. Also, the water could be better. Good idea for a picture though. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Not bad, actually... this shows a lot of potential. The city itself looks pretty good... I like the variety of shaping on the buildings... adding some basic texturing would make a big difference. The cars are also not bad (at least from this distance), but if you're going for realism, I think you should cut down on the percentage of pastel colors, and again add some texturing. The reflections look good, as does the window, although I'd consider pulling the camera back to show at least a little bit of the room itself. I'm not sure what to tell you regarding the way the city disappears in the distance (mainly because I'm not good at fade-out effects or fog myself), but it looks like it could use some improvement. Hope all of this is helpful to you, and remember... as long as you're having fun rendering, you're doing it right. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: This looks like a good idea for an image. The cars and water are too simplistic compared to the buildings, which are quite good. Also, it's obvious the same buildings are being used multiple times.
