IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The roaring city ... well, all over germany every small town has its own historic museum. And always you will find a model of how the city might have looked like in ancient days - perhaps a celtic or germanic settlement or something like that. In that city we have here (call it arcadia or fantasy-town or whatever), there was a golden age in medival time: a "big" city with walls, towers, gates and a castle, a big harbor - everything you need for trading. And that city has now a model of those big days in its historic museum. A small model, perhaps made from plastic, and big "dont't touch"-sign everywhere. But outside the windows the sea starts ... perhaps a beginning of a new golden age ?? There is a kind of real city behind that: Luebeck/germany (east of Hamburg). And here some greetings to those I meet in Luebeck (and thos who wanted but couldn't come): "seher und freunde ... bis demnaechst ..." DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: - I made the hightfield with psp and imported it into terragen to make it more realistic - in moray I put the towers, gates und walls on its places - 180 houses are quiet a lot if you have to place every house to get a real medival look in the city I lost quiet a lot time with the houses and the texture ... it is bad it is so small now I lost another couple of day when my hard disk failed - so I had just a few days to create the rooms of the musuem. It is all inside a cube ... - the scene in front of the windows is a terragen picture. I hadn't the time to build up a nice landscape in moray, so I took the terragen picture and used it as an image map. The signs are also image maps.
