===== From bfranke2@home.com: Deja Vu from the First Encounter round Nov-Dec 1998. The lighting and work on the ground is better, but the warrior was better in the old image. At least last time this image was a good fit with the topic. Severe score reduction for blatant disregard for the rules and spirit of the competition. ===== From Stickgod01@aol.com: This doesn't strike me as an image about wilderness. Everything is very nicely done and placed, but it doesn't fit the topic. ===== From tony@j4tb.com: Your Viking(?) is flawless. The figure in the fog (or is it the vickings shadow?) adds a nice artistic touch to the whole image. Very Nice! ===== From jd@surveyor.in-berlin.de: Off topic, I guess. ===== From spencer@early.com: Cool image, although I would like to have seen more detail with the giants. Those soft outlines leave a huge empty space in nearly half of your image. ===== From javaearl@hotmail.com: Wonderful person you've created here (hair was worth the wait; very realistic.) Quite the original scene, to say the least. Great "ice giants"; good atmospheric effects in their creation. ===== From warp@iki.fi: This is practically the same image as in the round "first encounter" in november-december 1998. Although the details (mainly the textures) have changed, it's by all means the same image. The rules say that the image must be created specifically for the current round and I think this is not. Sorry, but I have to score you low. ===== From whitey@telefragged.com: Fucking gorgeous. ===== From mark.wagner17@gte.net: What does this have to do with wilderness? ===== From nitschk@ranke.be.schule.de: The man looks very realistic, but I think it does not fit very much to the given topic ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: That guy should comb his hair ;-) very good interpretation ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Very nice modelling with the foreground adventurer. The topic connection seems a bit loose? ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: This is nice. The figure in the foreground really looks good, especially the flow of the cape. I think the giants should show up a little more than they do, though. And the topic of wilderness seems to be little more than a footnote in this scene. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Hmmm, haven't I seen this image before? Although well off-topic, this reworked image is quite good. ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Artistic - a nice picture with good detail on person in foreground Technical - If you don't say how what was made, then it's hard judge fairly how much was original for this entry and what was a rework, as you admitted. Partial marks for candor and obviously hard work Concept - this is a Battle or Horror scene, not a wilderness ===== From file: make me freeze in front of my computer Notable for originality
