===== From tony@j4tb.com: Well if there was a rating for realistic accuracy I would give it to you. It looks like a fair amount of work went into making this a real as possible. I don't know what else to say. ===== From jd@surveyor.in-berlin.de: Good idea. A more distinctive gradient (if there is any already) at the sky would had helped. Maybe also some rocks in the foreground, looking out of the sand. ===== From spencer@early.com: A very nice landscape but not a complete image. ===== From javaearl@hotmail.com: Pretty plain, but great for the "wilderness" aspect. ===== From warp@iki.fi: Good, but a bit boring image. Can't score high because there's so little to judge about. ===== From luisvaloyes@malditasea.zzn.com: I guess there should be some stones over Mars' surface... ===== From mark.wagner17@gte.net: You really need to add something (I'm not sure what, though) to give this a sense of scale. Right now, it could be anything from a giant canyon on Mars to a set of eroded tire tracks in the desert. Also, you might want to try converting the heightfield to a MegaPOV isosurface so you can add some finer detail than the heightfields show, such as cracks and small bumps. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Good visualisation of martian terrain, the artistic aspect is somewhat missing :-) you should have given the source of the dem-data (I'm just to lazy to search) ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Interesting. How does it look *without* the vertical stretching? ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Artistic - Very simple sort of landscape look Technical - Nothing too complex form the appearance Concept - Is it possible to think of this picture as a wilderness? ===== From file: this is a test comment
