===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: While the scene is very good overall, it is somewhat obvious that there are only about ten book textures, reused and scaled to fit all of the books. ===== From luisvaloyes@malditasea.zzn.com: good job, the microscope and the book on the table look cool, I think you could have worked a little more on the glass textures you used for the vases. the books in the background look really cool... ===== From tony@j4tb.com: 17 Images in and this is the best I have seen yet. Great attention to details. ===== From Stickgod01@aol.com: I like the idea. I like the modelling. I generally like the textures. However, it seems like there's a very high value of ambient in this scene, keeping the contrast in the scene from being too great. Good image. ===== From stephenhasmail@yahoo.com: I like the way your lab looks, but I think you need to do something with lighting. It is my opinion that they didn't have a lot of good lighting in the late 1800's to early 1900's so your scene looks a little too bright. Also, it would be nice to see some light coming from the window, since it is a bright day outside. ===== From shout@ozten.com: Nicely done. the texture of the microscope seems unbelievable. I would look at some of the other entries textures. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Nice job, especially on the microscope and the variety of book covers. The glass textures could use some work, and the liquids seem a bit too transparent to me. (The green liquid in the middle testtube looks good; if the others could be made to match I think they would look better.) I like the wood texture on the tabletop. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Perhaps a bit overlighted, but very nicely arranged. The glasses are a bit white, like plastic. Anyhow, the whole scene ambient is very convincing for the epoch depicted. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Beautiful... Nice details like the books leaning slightly and the dirt on the window make this stand out. Nicely coloured with the books, but I feel the textured liquids in the beakers are a bit distracting and unrealistic. ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Artistic: Pleasing to the eye. Technical: Nice work, like the open book in foreground, unfortunately the "notes" in the image trail off the page and right down the edges of the book ruining the effect. Sorry but Marks Deducted for failure to credit sources (as required by the contest rules) for images imported for use in your artwork such as the book covers, the historic map on the wall, where the view out the window came from. Theme: It's a lab. ===== From file: Notable for modelling
