IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

...So you are gonna propose her to marry you...You'll need a perfect environment
for a romantic dinner... a nice apartment with a stunning view, soft music
(imagine it...), a good bottle of wine, a red rose, candles, a ring with a
diamond, and off course, something really special to eat...

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

1. MODELING: The rose, the hot dog and two or three more objects were modeled
using hamaPatch, everything else was done with Calimax Modeller, using
primitives, CSG and tons of lathe objects.
2. TEXTURES: I used just a couple of image maps, for the floor, the landscape of
the background, the paintings of the wall and the hot dog's bread, everything
else has procedural textures. I used POV-Ray, Pbrush and IrfanView to make the
image maps.
3. SCENE: The room was made with a single Calimax file, with the camera in it's
final position, and I just scaled and place each object where I needed it to be
(almost). This scene has 5 light sources, one from each candle, two more from
behind the camera and an external one, to light the landscape.I got an
undesired giant shadow of the flower, but everything else is almost as I
wanted... anyway, the scene took more than 2 hours to render, I guess because
my PC is quite slow and because almost everything in the scene is made of glass
or shiny metals, with lots of reflections...
4. IMAGE: The final image was rendered with POV-Ray as an 800x600 bitmap. I used
Pbrush & IrfanView to add my logo, and Jans Formati 8 ( http://jansfreeware.com
) to make the JPG file.

Notes:
1. If someone knows how to make a better flame for my candles, please e-mail
me...
2. In the zip file I just included the hot dog, the flower and the candle, if
you really need the entire source you can e-mail me...
3. I used to sign as Luis Valoyes for previous rounds, but I also make music and
some other stuff and for that I sign as luisvaloyes, (sounds the same, but for
me it's not the same...), so from now I will sign that way for my IRTC entries
too... ( I guess nobody cares about it but I wanted to write it...)
