TITLE: "Sky in a room" NAME: Jonathan Rafael Ghiglia COUNTRY: Florence, Italy JPGFILE: jrg_room.jpg EMAIL: j.l.ghiglia@libero.it TOPIC: CONTRAST COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: jrg_room.jpg RENDERER USED: MegaPov 0.6a TOOLS USED: Moray 3.3 beta, Terragen, Paint Shop Pro RENDER TIME: 20h 33m 45s HARDWARE USED: Pentium 90 Mhz 32 MB ram IMAGE DESCRIPTION: A man, prisoner among four walls, finds in himself a window onto the world. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The scene was composed in Moray. The mattress (really poor) is an isosurface superellipsoid (with some noise). The walls and the floor are made with while-loops. The candle is made of blobs (the code is based on Jaime Vives' "Vodu"). The paint is a landscape made with Terragen and then elaborated with Paint Shop Pro. I discovered POV-Ray (and computer graphics at all) this summer, so this is my first *serious* raytracing image.
