Needs skin texture for starters. The image_maps don't connect as well in the
vaulted room.

A simple, but effective, communication of the topic.

Looks good, his robe almost looks like wings.

From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu:
Ok, but nothing amazingly special.

From StephenF@whoever.com:
In a way, the stark simplicity of this scene works to
reinforce its theme, but at the same time it seems to
distance me from the work itself. The priest and the
stone walls look good. The floor seems a little flat
compared to the walls though. Overall, an impressive
piece of work, but it just misses for me.

Very nice, it looks very real.

From tom@tomandlu.co.uk:
Very elegant. The cloak is particularily good. I like this a
lot. Good on-topic. The cross lets it down a bit.

From chris_hormann@gmx.de:
Very nice idea, the shading of the walls looks 'inverse' in combination
with that lighting.

=====
From youknow@ucan.foad.org:
This is an oddly-shaped and barren church. The stone
walls are excellent but the shape is disorienting.

=====
From mark.wagner17@gte.net:
You might want to do something about the brick texture -
- the shadows in the texture are inconsistent with the
apparent light source.

From albiaprime@aol.com:
Artistic: Simple but pleasing to the eye.
Technical: Nice image map for the brickwork.
Concept: Fits the topic well.

Epistemology:
Is this the end result of a long process of asceticism, or is it out of
ignorance of anything else?

Axiology:
Self-explanatory, of course. However, the epistemologic questions apply here,
too.

Ontology:
The self is devoid of external influences and stimuli, which is the way to
discover true worship. If this is correct analysis of the image, then why is
it a problem to be influenced by external stimuli? Someone has to keep the
books for the monastary (I assume), so where does empirical reality become a
part of the worship? Is it interruptive? Is it the negation of worship to
deal with more than the accepted symbols?
