Nice work considering the experience level.  The simple 
sky works well with the rest of the scene.  I like the 
curved shape of the grass.  The ladybug fades into the 
scene a little too much, I think... but a nice simple 
scene overall, though.  Good job.

If you are after a very simplified look it was a good image.  I personally like
a bit more realism.  I think the lighting could have been improved a bit with
softer lighting.

The position of the bug on the flower is a little odd.
