An explorer has discovered it, and he is astonished, afraid. Will it spare him, will he be able to save his life ? Or will he be its further dinner ?? DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: - Spiders, cavern, water has been modeled and textured into 3dsmax4. - Cavern, water and ground are just plane which I've applied a noise modifier in. I add some modifiers, especially for the water, after having subdivided it to make the waves tumultuous. - Textures are some bitmapped mixed with procedural textures. - The explorer is a Poser4 model. I've started with a nude man, and I dressed him entirely. I used some clothes delivered with Poser, but it was very complicated to make his clothes follow exactly the same movment has his limbs. Then I finished to adjust his clothes after having imported them into 3dsmax. - Drivel is just some deformated spheres. I've applied them an huge IOR (indice of refraction) so that it seems to be gelatinous. - The spirit-lamp has been modeled with 3dsmax, the i merged it with my main scene. The flame within has been made with Phoenix. - Shag Fur helped me a lot to make the spider hair. - I worked a lot on the lights. 13 omnilight are disposed in this scene. There the main light (the lamp hold by the man) is emitting shadows. Others lights are just low-intensity ones, positionned at the top of the cavern, just here to make this scene no to be too dark. I also used a projector to enhance the spider-queen.
