===== From nitro_glis@yahoo.com: it would have been better not to have the ship so far over the horizon, but vizibly sinking. it doesn't look like its going under the water more behind it. ===== From philip.chan@home.com: You did a good job of setting the mood for the scene. The water looks really good, but I feel that the water and sky are too dominant in the scene as all of the objects are seen from a distance. ===== From lrwii@joplin.com: Love the water! The boat could use a little more detail. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: The periscope effect works well. Everything looks good, but I wonder if positioning the 'horizon' lower would improve the scene... ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good water, aircraft, sky, and overall realism to the image. Two areas didn't appeal to me: the ship seems to lack detail, and I thought the "smoke plume" was a smudge on the lens of the periscope -- it has the exact same blurred grainy look as the scope shroud. The planes have unusually bright canopies but otherwise look quite nice. ===== From tm-ray@consistent.org: The holes in the ship don't show up well. I like the planes and the water; the grain effect works well. My main complaint is that the interface between the ship and the water is unrealistic - it looks like the water was pasted in front of the ship. The horizon just isn't far enough away - the features on the water are too big where it disappears into sky. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: If you can use a piece of software and create interesting images and models, then there is no need to feel any remorse about it being commercial. After all, a lot of these packages are for sale to help keep people who create them from needing to divert their attention from 3D programming. Nice execution of the idea, though the image is a bit blank. It is difficult to pull off an image with a strong median line unless that line is broken up by counter-balancing or crossing lines.
