===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: I dislike three things about your image: The stained and messy colors in some spots (particularly the pillars - possibly JPEG artifacts, would've helped if you'd been satisfied with a bit smaller resolution), the lack of your name (or at least an artist's alias) and the excessively commercial spirit of your text file. Sorry, but I'll pinch you several points just for those. Concept-wise, your image reflects much of what I would've done, had I participated this round. It also includes quite a lot of well-made elements and good textures, so it definitely has potential. Lights could've been better and the people could have been better positioned. Particularly I was left craving for a single prominent human figure. Nonetheless, it's a good image. For the next time, I suggest more work on the surroundings. You have the modelling well in your hand, but combining the independent objects to a well-composed scene is still worth practising. I suppose this is quite understandable with a tools of 3DSMAX's caliber. ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: Could be a lot more realistic given you're using MAX... ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nice concept. It all just looks a bit too surreal.... you need to work on lighting the scene in a more natural way. ===== From lrwii@joplin.com: I like the composition. The lighting don't feel right. The cloud cover should darken the mountain at less alittle. There are shadows from the left on some things but not on others. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Nice composition and colors, but the total lack of shadows makes it look very flat, for example the interior of the building should be much darker. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: Ambitious in scope, you have a wide variety of complex elements: multiple figures, architecture, landscape with a tree, clouds, mountain. I am not sure whether all these elements work together but it is certainly an strong, strong effort.
