JPGFILE: essence.jpg RENDERER USED: Bryce 5 TOOLS USED: Bryce 5, Poser 4 RENDER TIME: 10 minutes HARDWARE USED: AMD Athlon 600, 384MB RAM IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The "worlds within worlds" theme in this image is the world of ones mind within the world we live in. I aimed for a harsh contrast between the two words although this image turned out different to how I planned. My original intention was to have a non-transparent face mask (physical world) with the camera looking through an eye to see the guy in the foetal position (mental world). This would make the image a little less abstract but would sacrafice a lot of detail due to the contrast in size of the two worlds. I am happy with the results though and it allows the viewer to make their own interpretation of which world is the physical and which is the mental; is it an image of an insane person who is a child deep down or child going insane. The characters around the focal character are this persons torment. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Nothing terribly complex in this image. All models were done in Poser 4 and assembled in Bryce 5. The face is a hight field. I had imported the original face object, created in poser, but the trasparency of the texture used allowed you to see all the parts that make up a Poser face. Didn't look good. To create the height field I imported the face into a new bryce scene and rendered it with a distance mask.
