===== From cly@u.arizona.edu: First off, the walkway does not look like it has any depth. I think more depth can make it look more bricker. Secondly, the lighting is great, however, the choice of shine for the water effect is great on the ramp, but not on the walkway. ===== From robbert@mintec.ca: Love the stone work and the wet feel of them. The house and sky seem a little flat though. ===== From pokorny@attglobal.net: I think this image is terrific - it speaks! I have looked at it more often than any other image in this round save my two, and those more so only because of the time I spent creating them. I did give it slightly lower technical score than some of the other images, but would never recommend adding complexity for the sake of scoring better in the technical merit catagory. If simple says it, simple is better. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Somewhat simple yet very striking... nice work. Effective use of light/shadow and color (or lack thereof). Nice feel of wetness to the various stones. While I do get a sense of being led off into nothingness or the unknown, the development of the topic within the scene itself might be a bit tenuous. ===== From lrwii@joplin.com: I like your wet stone effect. As for your comment 'We dream in gray scale' I for one dream in color, something vivid and other times in pastels. ===== From file: A beautiful image, though stretching the dream theme. Perhaps that the walk seems to simply end at the sky is indicative of something? Notable for composition, textures, lighting
