Great texture, great lighting :)  The pawns look a little too identical pattern

Intriguing idea and the lighting is good. But, I believe it would have
been a better image slightly larger and with the camera placed up and
back some distance from where it is now. Better texturing for the chess
board and the pieces would help too. Iceland - a place I have always
wanted to vacation! Someday I hope - in the summer. :-)

Lighting is very nice, and the shaping on the king looks 
good.  The effect of the pawns lurking in the shadows 
works well.  A simple yet effective scene... well done.

I like the lighting and the placement of everthing. The 
shape of the King is not he one I'd use, but there are as 
many Chess King shapes as there are Chess players.
