===== From trothgard@citywidesoftware.com: The textures seem that they can be toned down a bit, the bright red brick and the rusted green pipes create quite a contrast. I love the pipe bends and so such. I do like your take on the theme too, original! :) ===== From cly@u.arizona.edu: I think a better brick wall can help. Make some of it stick out so it looks real. Secondly, a nicer fountain in the image can help you show contrast between the pipes and the beautiful fountain to go with your theme. ===== From robbert@mintec.ca: ===== From pokorny@attglobal.net: A good first entry. The run time seems a bit long to me for the machine you have. I have seen run times jump when I make a mistake and have multiple surfaces in the the same plane. The shadows are too dark and I would suggest either increasing the ambient finish for some of the textures or adding a shadowless light somewhere with an intensity perhaps 1/5 that of the sum of intensities for the other lights you use. The colors are a bit too bold and as you noted your rust texture could be better. The bricks are too large given the pipe sizes. If you get a change go look at Gilles Tran's site at http://www.oyonale.com/oy_en.htm he has created a pipe macro, a modified version of which was used for the "Allegory" image by Norbert Kern, and Gilles has one image on his site called "Eve's morning" which you might want to look over. ===== From lrwii@joplin.com: Glad to have you with us.
