The loneliness maybe is lost a little 'cause it looks like he's just found the
shore.

=====
From houston_roadrunner@yahoo.com:
Thewater needs work around the shore and boat.

From darwallace@earthlink.net:
Excellent fog water. Some rain wouldn't hurt.

From :

  It is hard to see any detail on the man in the boat, it looks almost 2D to me.
 Perhaps this is the way you meant him to look, however you did not give us
barely any info on your description, or any on how it was created at all. Also
the landscape could do with some major improvement. However the water looks
ok, almost as though I am looking at a painting.

This could be a good images, with more attention given to the waves and
landform. Everything seems very flat to me.
=====
From whitey@telefragged.com:
you must have had to go out of your way to make the water look that bad.

=====
From beighton155@yahoo.com:
i like the idea, if somewhat unoriginal, but the image lacks something for me.
The texture on the rock is too plastic, and there is little to engage the
imagination.

From ruy@hipernet.com.br:
After the movie "Castaway" (and more than one century before, the book "Robinson
Crusoe"), representing loneliness as someone adrift on a boat is kind of a
clich_. I also believe that technically this picture could be much improved.

From jpgargoyle@sapo.pt:
I think it would look more lonely if the boat was on open sea.
It would look better if you have made the boat interfere with the sea and there

should be some sort of waves where the sea meets the rocks IMHO.
I like the rock texture a lot but they are sort of out of place. They look like
coal to me :)
Best regards.

Not bad.

Pros: Water tex, sky tex, boat modelling and silouhette, overall style
Cons: Dude... that land! I don't get the texturing.

I like the mood...

From rclee@oklahoma.net:
Good water and good concept. The land looks too
much like plastic.

=====
From glenn@mccarters.net:
Good idea. Rough terrain could look a little rockier. The water seems =
opaque, as if it is made of light grey ink.

=====
From bill@apocalypse.org:
Interesting effect, looks like an etching with the black and white "lines"
and such.

=====
From jinx@spodbox.fsnet.co.uk:
How can someone be lonely if they are near land?
=====
From p_chan@shaw.ca:
My feeling for this image is that the boat is too close to
land. It ruins the helpless, adrift feeling, as the person
could easily abandon ship and swim for shore.

=====
From StephenF@whoever.com:
For such a simple scene, communicates the idea of
loneliness well. Don't really care for the lined surface of
the water, though.

=====
From jl@artcom-gmbh.de:
Looks very realistic on first view, may need a bit more of antialiasing,
though.

=====
From gailshaw@mweb.co.za:
That's a cool effect, looks like a woodcutting

=====
From clem@dhol.org:
very photolike, but you need some turbulence around the
shore and particularlu the point. Good image.
