===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: That's a very clever image, both technically and conceptually. ===== From awebb@trans-tec.co.uk: Can't quite work it out, but thats part of the alure. Striking image. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: An intruguing picture with very nice stones on the floor. They work well with the light. ===== From houston_roadrunner@yahoo.com: A great ghost effect. A beautiful scene, but the clean floors, windows and wood tell me there are people that visit this room and maybe him...? ===== From : I like this one a lot. I think it will be a top contender this round. One thing which strikes me as wrong is how the floor tiles can be so relflective (spic & span), with yet the old and broken furniture around. Good work over all. ===== From MarkNitschke@gmx.de: the artist knew well how to realize that great idea. one of the best images i have seen. ===== From awilcox@dreampeach.com: Overall this image is excellent. Everything is very convincing, but is detracted by the cartoony reflection of the ghost. I would say get a more realisitic person for the reflection, or leave out the reflection all togehter. The shadow of the figure in the chair, speaks volumes. ===== From beighton155@yahoo.com: I don't inderstand this picture at all, but it looks nice! ===== From novotek@web.de: in this image we all can see what lightwave is up to... great structure, perfect reflections, nice fading and surrealistic feel. full points in artistic and technical merits. ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: I like the way you expressed the concept. A lot. ===== From jpgargoyle@sapo.pt: I find it a little off topic, but a good image per se :) It reminds me more of ghosts than loneliness Still, a very well done image. Best regards. ===== From p.olice@free.fr: One of the better images of this round. The lighting is very good. On the downside: the character looks like he comes straight from a cartoon, which does not match the rest of the picture. ===== From dapigg2000@yahoo.com: Deep. Says alot, looks good. i see yet another winner. ===== From cfusner@enter.net: The texturing is quite vivid and the idea of the old man casting shadows and a reflection while not being visible is a cool idea. This man is so lonely, he doesn't even have his own company! :) ===== From tim.nikias@gmx.de: Ah well. Sad, yeah. Lonely? Not too sure about that. ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: I really like the candle table. I'm not sure about the light streaming in the window. It's confusing and I can't tell if there is a small table next to the window or not. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: Trope made literal. The empty chair standing for the person lost. You tell= a good story. Just enough detail to engage the viewer and include only wha= t you need for your narrative. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Good floor -- I like the blurry reflections in it. The light glow seem = too thick. I wonder why the window seems to be made from one piece of = glass but shows three distinct rectangles on the wall. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: Beautifully done... captivating ===== From jamesrskemp@eml.cc: Very cool... I like the picture on the wall as well... ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: Excellent play with shadows and reflections to create the "spirit world." One thing which could use improvement is the candle. The texture doesn't seem too much like wax, and the flame is perhaps a bit too round. The rest of the scene is excellent. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: This looks good... I like the effect of only having the woman show up in the glass and shadows. Modelling looks excellent, especially on the base of the table and the tile floor. The bottom edge of the light coming through the window looks a bit sharp, though. I like this a lot, though. ===== From clem@dhol.org: I like the semiinvisible ghost idea. The image is very evocative. Very good lighting. ===== From r@131.san-francisco-13-14rs.ca.dial-access.att.net: Notable for lighting, textures
