===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: When I stay up that late I tend not to feel lonely, it's nice and peaceful. As a matter of fact I stayed up all night to finish one of my pictures for this round! This picture captures that insomnia feeling well. ===== From henry@unforgettable.com: you lucky, lucky person! i'm surprised it takes that long to render, i have to say. very nice, really gets the mood across. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Very impressive... Just the right amount of different objects and excellent work with the blue colour. ===== From cherii@att.net: I like this picture a lot, but I would like it better if the buildings had realistic textures applied. I think that with more realistic textures on the walls amd roofs, this would be an *awesome* picture. ===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: I know that pure radiosity scenes tend to be monochromatic, but that does not excuse ignoring texture detail. ===== From : The lighting is good, but where are the textures? I think more work on your material settings would of bumped your score up quite a bit. Also I am not sure why you needed the power you claim for this render. Perhaps the original radiosity settings were not tweaked as efficient as can be? ===== From novotek@web.de: very nice radiosity... ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: Excellent expression of the topic. ===== From jpgargoyle@sapo.pt: I reeeeally love this picture although it doesn't feel too lonely (more like someone who spends all night at a computer he he he) I just like to look at it because it is very pleasant and reminds me some of the Mordillo cartoons ;) Best regards. ===== From dapigg2000@yahoo.com: Very good image. Well modelled, and lit etc... very good topic too. I just wished there were less artifacts. ===== From emediez@emediez.com: Intriguing image. A scene we usually see but never remember. Good job. ===== From cfusner@enter.net: The architecture in this scene is astonishing. You clearly put a great deal of work into crafting it. ===== From suso@suso.org: Otlichno! I really like this image and the process (or multiple of them) that went into creating it. I don't even mind that the windows are blue. It fits with the theme of the image. I can even tell that you are from Russian by this image. Great job! ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: The monochrome approach was interesting. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: Clever interpretation of the topic. Artistically effective. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Well done theme and modeling, but the heavy blue tint doesn't work well = for me. It gives the image a "processed" or "artificial" look, = detracting from the lonliness message. ===== From scandia3815@yahoo.com: I think this image is my favorite for this round, great concept! The houses are nicely modeled and arranged. Simple, yet elegant. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: I love the coloring... though, it comes off as more of a surreal shade of blue that a true night color. Intentional? Wonderful detail on the roof tops an such... I'm a long time fan of your work, Gena. ===== From jamesrskemp@eml.cc: Wow! Very, very, very cool image... ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The level of detail on the houses is excellent (and no doubt contributes to the insane amout of computing power required to render the image). I find that the scene is too brightly lit by the radiosity settings that were used. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Nice use of color to develop the mood of the scene. Buildings look good considering their simplicity. Placement of the buildings works well. The building in the lower right corner bothers me a bit, though... the lines of the roof don't seem to match the angle of the front. It's an interesting effect, but I feel it detracts slightly from the scene. Very nice image overall. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Breeautiful study in near monochrome. The faceless similarity of the rooms accentuates the concept.
