IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 


 When reading the term "separated from whom or what one values" in the notes to
this
 competition, an image of a mains plug was instantly in my mind. 
 But from the idea to the final image was a long way, especially as it was not
easy 
 displaying loneliness only with technical parts. So I used a special camera
angle 
 and played a lot with the lighting to emphasize that this one plug "feels"
lonely for
 not being able to connect to the socket given because the other plugs were 
 plugged the wrong way. 
 

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

 
 First I modeled the mains plug with from an original plug including
 some texture maps from a photo of this plug. Then I build the socket and
copied
 the original plug. Next was the lava lamp which was fairly easy to model, the 
 most difficult part was lighting the lava so that it looks real. I used a
candle flare 
 and an additional red light to achieve the desired effect.
 Next comes the table light, I modeled that after one lamp at my computer desk.
 After that I added lights for the main light sources and light effects as well
as
 ambient light.
 The walls and the table came next, and finally I added all the cables.
