===== From rgow@lanset.com: Very nice image! Like the textures and the feeling of space. My favorite so far. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: I love the shape of those rocks. Very unusual and really nice. ===== From shay@simcoparts.com: Fades nicely into the background. The stones are exceptional. ===== From chris@ugan.com: Wow this is a great image, excatly what I would expect from 3d max. I wish you went into a technical description of how this was created so I could give you technical credit.... But I don't know if the models are yours or the textures... ===== From awesomeamazingaaron@yahoo.com: WOW! ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: Quite phallic, isn't it? ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: Spectacular detailing. I like this whimsical take. ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: beautiful picture ===== From Sardook@telocity.com: This picture reminded me a lot of chinese paintings i've seen. You know the ones with the vertical mountains. ===== From martin@simaltech.com: This looks a lot like some painted artwork I'm used to seeing. This is good because the art is nice, but bad because a rendered image can normally look more realistic! ===== From 25ct@lineone.net: This reminded me of the film "The Lost World". Very nice. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: Wonderful the way the tactility of the rock is set off by the use of atmosphere. Indeed a spectacular landscape. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Looks nice, good work on textures and composition. The extremely sparse description is not very positive though. The rocks look a bit too clearly made from a rectangular basis. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Geologically implausible but spectacular. Wouldn't work nearly as well without the trees atop the pillars. The occasional trees sticking out the sides are very good. I would prefer less fog. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The modelling and textures for the rock are excellent. I find the mist in the scene seems to thick for the clarity with which we are seeing the pillar in the foreground. I feel a visible sky and a lighter ground fog around the pillars may have made for a better scene. ===== From eranbahana@msn.com: Absolutely amazing!, how did you do the trees? ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Truly spectacular. This image is almost mind-boggling in its = simultaneous complexity and simplicity. Superb use of fog which adds some mystery to the scene -- what lies = below and beyond? Tiny complaint: the angular-look of some of the nearby rock faces, which = is not quite hidden by the (excellent) textures. Trees are outstanding. = Definitely a favorite image! ===== From irtc_mail@yahoo.co.uk: Realistic look. I think a portrait format image would be better for the tall subject matter. ===== From file: Beautiful. Textures and atmospherics are first class Notable for textures ===== From r@168-215-245-100.gen.twtelecom.net: One of the best images of the round... Too bad there no description on how it was made Notable for originality, composition ===== From r@proxy.informatik.tu-muenchen.de: Amazing piece of work. Notable for lighting, originality, modelling, textures, composition
