===== From rgow@lanset.com: Nice trees! The rocks in the foreground seem a bit bright. ===== From shay@simcoparts.com: I like the general shape of your mountains. It looks like you might have used addition or multiplication in your function as I can see where the pigment has some banding towards the top of the highest peaks. The shape of the mountains is nice enough that the strong crackle normal probably isn't necessary. It appears that your textures have some ambience which is making the boulders on the other side of the water glow. ===== From chris@ugan.com: Very Nice Image overall, Good compisition and placement. Your texture need work they look a little too digital in some places. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: I've never seen the mountain lakes (everything was frozen over) but this has a magical quality. More work might be needed (as you write) but I like it, and am impressed you managed to do all of this by hand. ===== From awesomeamazingaaron@yahoo.com: nice. Mountain in background could have more realistic material. ===== From BigTrav2001@chartermi.net: Overall the image is very nice, the trees especially fit in realistically. However, the ambient light seems too high to me, especially on the white rocks close to the camera, the almost seem to glow. ===== From llama009@hotmail.com: stunning ===== From juanjcampos32@hotmail.com: The color scheme is a bit strong, otherwise a wonderful compilation. ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: Quite the purple overtone. Nice trees, would like however too see more texturing on the background mountains for example. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: Lots of rich detail here. It's probably not a winner, but pleasant to view anyway. :) ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: very nice picture ===== From jschmi@optonline.net: The mountains and trees in the background are really good! ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: The slightly lurid lighting and harsh color harmonies seem at odds with the majestic layout of the landscape. There is an impressive amout of detail, especially for being hand coded. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Nice coloring but the rocks look a bit too artificial. The twigs at the top are a nice idea but the low detail level and the flat leaves are quite visible. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Pretty. Well done except for the plasticky rocks in the foreground and the low res ground. The scene has a Canadian wilderness feel. The lake could use a loon or two. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The shape of the mountains in the background is done fairly well, but the texture could use work (too much of a monotone as it is now). The trees look good from a medium to long distance, but the one close to the camera (above it) has some really strange things going on with it (leaves with no branches), so my advice would be to take it out of the scene completely, unless you can fix it up. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Certainly a good start. Odd lighting and color scheme lends itself to = turning this into some kind of fantasy image. How about a dragon at = rest, having a quiet moment in the middle of a long journey?
