===== From rgow@lanset.com: The clouds do look good, but the shadows are very dark. ===== From shay@simcoparts.com: I missed the beanstalk the first time I looked at this image. Some additional texture work is needed in order to distinguish the individual elements in the scene more. ===== From chris@ugan.com: Cute. your textures need work but overall I like the image. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Maybe leaving the castle and the beanstalk out might have made a better picture. For some reason the strange "grainyness" is both effective and disturbing, especially compared with the round wet stones in the river. I like the effect. ===== From awesomeamazingaaron@yahoo.com: Creative idea! Looks a little like something out of gameboy color though, graphicswise. JK, its great. ===== From juanjcampos32@hotmail.com: The landscape is expertly rendered. The soft detail of the cottages lends it a victorian artist quality. The stalk is well blended and it does indeed have a Lord of the Rings quality, as do the clouds above. The transition from the serenity of the landscape to the stormy quality of the cloudscape is inbalanced by the fairy tale quality of the castle. It felt inconsistent. ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: Great image, and a very creative concept. ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: An interresting theme. I am just not too sure about the look of the clouds, and the over-all contrast. Quite a lengthy description text btw. I'm glad your learning, keep these entries coming. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: Two landscapes for the price of one! Kudos ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: good job its amazing how one's imagination is free to soar with povray ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Interesting concept and good work on modeling and placing the different items. The ground looks very grainy though which does not look that good IMO. The shadow the cloud layer is casting on the ground looks strange - shouldn't it be a solid cloud layer? ===== From clem@dhol.org: Iffy for topic. The dark cloud is an interesting contrast. The grass is too flat, as is the stream. Could have left out the castle with no loss. ===== From janoduda@szm.com: you must be a real masochist to wait for this image 4 days, on that hardware you describe, running quake on a 3x86 computer must be at least that much fun ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: I like the fluffiness of the clouds, as well colour you have given them. The thing that I find somewhat awkward about the clouds is the shadow they give, which creates the impression that they do not have much depth. The winding river is done well, but I would like to see more variation in its width. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: This is a very ambitious subject to tackle. Good work. I'm not sure the color scheme works well for you here. The colors give = a "washed out" look to the lower portions of the image. Combine this = with the sharp edge at the cloud line, and the scene almost looks = underwater. The beanstalk becomes kelp! ===== From r@168-215-245-100.gen.twtelecom.net: Cute
