JPGFILE: yokum.jpg RENDERER USED: Flamingo TOOLS USED: Wings3d, Anim8or, Rhino3d, Photoshop (for textures and jpg conversion), PlantStudio2.0, Bryce (for the sky) RENDER TIME: 3.5 hours HARDWARE USED: Pentium 3, 950 mhz, 250 Megs ram IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Sometimes nature gets a chance to reclaim what has been taken from her. She then creates a unique mixture of lost dreams and slowly engulfing growth. I spent most of my childhood summers in Yokum, Texas and I wanted to capture the essence of this beautiful and sometimes sad place. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This is my first image to submit to IRTC. All models are hand made for this image except for the tall grass near the posts and inside the bucket, which was generated from PlantStudio2.0. All the textures for this image are handmade except for the clouds which where created in Bryce and used as a background in the final render. I added a small amount focal depth blur during the render as well as a slight fog effect for atmosphere. The live oak tree is a real tree I photographed in Yokum. I cut out the tree in Photoshop and created an alpha map then attached it to a simple 2d object. The grass and ground is created from a mixture of 2d textures and 3d models. The fence posts are simple deformed cylinders with hand made textures and bump maps applied to them. If you have any more questions about this image please email me with them. Thanks for viewing my work.
