I like the concept.  The execution doesn't entirely convey it 
but it is a good stab.  The infinity box instead of a simple 
cube is helpful.  I like the planet.

Using a slightly larger sphere for the clouds does a good 
job of making it seem more like a real layer of clouds.  
The starfield could use some work - the brighter stars 
look okay, but the large dull ones are awkward.
