JPGFILE: frozenme.jpg RENDERER USED: Creative Studio 3D (similar to Maxon Cinema 4D GO) TOOLS USED: Corel Photo Paint for the Logo RENDER TIME: one Minute HARDWARE USED: PC with Athlon XP1800+, 256 MB IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Somebody has frozen all his best memories in ice cubes - his first dummy, his first ball, the first cup and a picture of his first love ... to keep the memory forever. But on a nice day the sun gets a chance to melt a hole through the ice cave he is storing his treasures ... and it hits the ice cube with the picture of his first love. The cube is melting and already a small puddle of water is there. May be this is a sign that the relationship is warming up - Love does not like it to be frozen forever ... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The building of the cave took the longest time in the modelling process. It seemed that it took forever to get the "ice feeling". After watching "Die Another Day" I knew what was wrong: The reflection was missing. After adding reflective quality to the ice the cave looked much better. The ice cubes are cubes subdivided and run through a random shift algorithm. Each one is different. The cup and the dummy are build from real-life reference pictures. The picture is from my girl friend. I found the soccer ball somewhere on the internet in 3DS format and added some nice materials with bump maps to enhance realism.
