===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: I like the colour of the light a lot. The lamp seems to be suffering from the "transparant lampshade" problem, that most of my raytraces seem to have as well. ===== From tyler@cg1.org: Well, the coloring *IS* nice, but the scene reminds of a film set minus the actors. ===== From cmiles79@iinet.net.au: I did a gramaphone as well. I'm wishing I had used some lighting like you have. It really adds a lot to the picture. ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Gramophone looks good and I like the overall mood. Lighting looks a little funny, maybe because the picture on the wall looks too bright in relation to the rest. ===== From matthew-bradwell@melton-mowbray.freeserve.co.uk: Nice mood ===== From mr.kroll@verizon.net: Sadly the low poly count shows a little. Also the lamp shade looks transparent, which is odd. The desk surface is quite tiled looking. And I would expect soft shadows in such a setting. More detailed texture maps and more light sources might have helped this image. Nice idea. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: While the realism is limited the objects are given a strangely enhanced presence through their simple geometry. The warm tone enhances this sense of moment. The objects in the scene are paired down to what is basically necessary. The lamp provides light to show the machine which plays sound we cannot hear. The photograph is of a resolution that allows us only a vague sense of what is depicted. ===== From slone@hiwaay.net: The lamp looks a little odd, as does the horn on the player. The picture on the wall looks backlit. Nice modeling on the gramophone. ===== From r@prof.net1.nerim.net: Ah, Versailles !... Notable for lighting, modelling
