===== From rgow@lanset.com: Good concept, I like the idea of the architecture within architecture. Lighting & the splashes of color, especially the stained glass look very good. Scene looks a little too clean though, considering the amount of dust particles in the air. ===== From leoszilard@yahoo.com: I'm confused, as the expo doesn't look like architecture stuff, it looks like a science fair. The cathedral is nice, the textures a little to clean, close up, at least. Good job on the cathedral and lighting. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Nice light work... Confused about the size of the benches, but the exposition is a nice addition. ===== From xilo_m@hotpop.com: Very nice, very good idea, though I would have added people, visitors... and the light seems to work in a strange way... All your windows(don't know the english term for them) are all equally bright, and the sun only enters one side... this looks strange... I can also see there are paintings of some sort hung on the walls, but no light on them, nobody can see what they are about!... ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: The concept is good - recursive building - buildings withing buildings. I like th striking appreance of the image. There were a couple of things though that didn't quite match up with my eye. First I would have thought the stained glass would have caused more color to be cast on the floor. Second the size of your benches seems too small compared with the restaining cords around the show cases. Small nit picky things. Still a nice looking image - artistic merit is high. ===== From hildurka@simnet.is: In the start of this round I had a similar idea using light through colored glass. I gave it up due to long rendering times in Pov Ray. (For those interested: I used 1 area light + 1 spot light per window x 23 windows + atmospheric media + radiosity + high AA settings ===== From fergie_2002_@msn.com: this is impressive....i like it ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Nice composition with that combination of small and large scale architecture. Those large scale brick arcs seem quite strange though. The lighting appears somewhat unrealistic. The walls and columns appear lit from inside but the main illumination seems to come from the sunlight through the windows. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The lighting effect for the stained glass windows look excellent. The glass for the display cases looks somewhat unrealistic. ===== From intertek@one.net: I don't think you meant this but this image seems to say that all of = these buildings are good Catholic buildings (If you want to see the = pagan stuff you have to got next door). If you got rid of the cross it = would look more like a large (non-denominational) museum. In fact it = looks more like a museum than a church due to many architectural details = that are either missing or very different in your design. It would have = been nice if this was not the church of God but rather the church of = architecture. Why show Christian art on the walls? Why not floor plans = and elevations of famous structures. What would a church look like if it = were dedicated to architecture? If architecture was a religion? Now make = the sign of the post and lintel and say ten Mies van der Rohes. How = about monks? In robes and pyramid shaped hats? Ok... I'm getting silly = now but my point is quite sincere. ===== From slone@hiwaay.net: Great composition and layout, though a more realistic stone texture would really enhance the look. ===== From r@ip68-11-81-210.no.no.cox.net: Is it a church or museum? The work put into the lights shows, they are quite impressive. Notable for lighting ===== From r@215-241.opf.slu.cz: Good idea. But too "hard" modelling ===== From file: The colors from the light on the floor is very nice, and I'ld like to have a walk to see each of the exposed items. Notable for composition, lighting ===== From file: cubistic.
