===== From jon@vulpecula.us: Very cute. Kind of mysterious. Not sure what the third myster is, though...what are the blob creatures maybe? Hmm. I like it. ===== From douge@nls.net: Interesting image. The blob characters have a unique animation-type appearance. ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Kewl! But what are all those desert blobs doing at the beach! Good job on the blob macro, and nice beach ball! Sand look just a tad hard. ===== From thegreatbambeeno@yahoo.com: great image! funny ===== From hildurka@simnet.is: Nice layout, very good textures. But I must admit that I really can_t figure out the third mystery. Is there one? ===== From somers@w-link.net: nice to see someone head off the beaten path. What IS in the sky? ===== From pbrasolin@yahoo.it: Really good concept: original and incisive. All the objects looks very good (damn! is that ball REAL or what?). Errr... i looked for the last mystery for two days but I still can't understand... PB ===== From exet@club-internet.fr: One of the blobby creatures isn't looking at the ball ... is some predator coming ?? ===== From ralf@treuherz.de: This is soooo cute :-) But the creatures do not look rendered to me. ===== From nick3@royell.net: THE BLOB TREE REMINDS ME OF "SOUTHPARK" ===== From info@michaelscholz.de: For me this is the winning image! I can't stop looking at this picture, it's so funny to see these little critters stare at the ball. I like the combination of photorealistic and cartoony, too. Maybe retouch the repetitive treebark texture, but altogether: great work. Congratulations! ===== From timothyea@comcast.net: Cute! ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: Interesting scene. The grass in the desert looks nice. The beach ball also looks pretty good, but I do not believe a plastic/rubber ball would have a metallic looking spec highlight? ===== From llama009@hotmail.com: Thats a great picture, I love it. ===== From zio_tom78@hotmail.com: Please, tell us: where did that ball come from??? :-) ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: I like the "cartoonish" feel of the blob characters. I think the desert texture could use more work, as it seems to solid to be sand, and yet isn't cracked enough to be dirt. ===== From intertek@one.net: This is wonderful Nicolas! You accomplished everything you said in your = documentation. I smile everytime I see it. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: I absolutely love this image. Wonderful! And a superb funny contrast = to many of the darker images in this competition. Many artists try to = overpopulate their images with too much stuff. Yours has exactly what = it needs, no more, no less. Maybe a bit too simplistic to gain highest = technical marks, but this is more than compensated for, in the artistic = and concept departments. My only quibble would be some of the harsh = black edges around the yellow guys. ===== From file: Mystery is the last thing on my mind when I see this image, regardless of your description. The picture is whimsical, not mysterious. Nice beach ball. Notable for textures, originality ===== From file: Super awesome. I really appreciated the spirit. Notable for originality
