The only light comes from a mysterious glowing power source in the backround, lighting up the room for a shrowded glimpse at at the mysterious being. Where is he? What is he their for? Who created him? Is he hungry? And if so, how the hell is he going to eat? Perhaps their is some helpless slub wandering around the streets of the distant future, seeing how far he can put his finger down his eye socket before it starts to sting. So many question left unanswered by this image, it may be dangerous to think about. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: I designed everything in the picture in Rhino. Everything in the picture was pretty simple to make except for the nerve sticking out of the back of the eye and the giant ball of light. For the nerve I cut a peice out of the sphere of the eye and lofted it into a long detailed chunk of meeting stringing from the back of the eye. The veiw of it in this image does not do it justice. the ball of light is a big sphere surrounded on the surface by over 250 smaller spheres. They all have gel surfaces and in the center of the big sphere there is one radial light making the whole thing glow. The inside of the jar actually contains many lights and mechanical doohikies, but when I tried to add some light to show them, it took away from the erie glow of the picture. I had to end up sacrificeing a lot of my models for the final product to have that erie MYSTERIOUS, mood. Also, with a render time of five hours, I had little time to check if something looked good rendered so, it was kind of like a hit or miss shot at making the model look good. I am very pleased with the way it turned out.
