JPGFILE: exabaco.jpg ZIPFILE: exabaco.zip RENDERER USED: POV-Ray 3.5 TOOLS USED: MS Paint (to save in JPG format) HARDWARE USED: Pentium 2.0G 512M, running XP Pro IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The image of digital numbers float above an abacus as it is lodged in the wall of time. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: While tinkering around with an abacus module I created, I began to work on some luminscent buttons for a disembodied calculator. When a mishap of includes and something of a proto-cloudscape was dropped into the mix, I wound of with this image. On the technical level, the abacus is my own include files, made of cylinders for rods, some boxes for frames, and some spheres for beads. The digital buttons are light-sources with an appearance. The wall of time is just a wrinkled plane. Whole thing rendered with some radiosity to provide that luscious interdiffuse reflectivity, and the title and name provided by using POVRay's screen.inc, to allow an object to remain in front of the camera relatvie to the scene.
