Awaiting the Day when his Energy Pack will be empty. But Destiny has other Plans than throwing him on a scrap yard ... This is my first IRTC Picture. As I read the Topic, first Thing that cames to my Mind was "do we all understand the same when saying 'Surrealism'?" I guess: no. But besides all Differences between "surrealistic" Artists, there are a few Things in common. One of them are Dreams/Subconsciusnes or the Content of Dreams/Subconsciusnes, followed by the Combination of realistic, but irrational Things (real Things in irrational Landscapes, real Scenes with irrational Components), another one is the Appearence of Death, however and wherever. So I decided to combine this and let appear the Death in an completely irrational Scene with an irrational Purpose. I made this Picture for Fun, without any "hidden Message", so anybody may interprete it (or not) as he likes. One of the Things I worried about all the Time during the Creation of the Scene, was the Text String because I was afraid it would look too much comic-like. But finally I thought if it can_t stand it, it is not surrealism ;-) DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The Death and his Cat are Poser Characters transformed with PoseRay and I wish to thank FlyerX for his Support. The Tree is made with Gilles Tran_s Treemacro. All other Things in the Scene are mostly CSG. A few Isosurfaces are placed in the Background, but not visible because finally the Foreground Objects took to much Space. Also the Bumps in the Robots Body are Isosurfaces. The Robot itself is a fully IK-able CSG Object. The Cables (Wires?) in the right leg are small Sphere Sweeps. The Newspaper is a bicubic patch. The Graffitis are image maps placed on the Walls. The biggest Problem was the light, becuase I wanted the Scene to have a depressive Atmosphere. But the more depressive it gets, the darker it gets too :-( I solved this (partially) by using lots of Light groups. Hope You will enjoy it! Rm
